Newbie Nomads: Update on #Vanlife!!

Our first week of Vanlife!! The first 2 days of the week were spent in a church parking lot and a truck stop in Centerville, when we finally arrived at Lake Limestone we were relieved and excited to be away, we spent 7 days of free parking, free lights, no water bill, no gas bill, just petro for the tank! We had a great time actually, it was an experience for all of us. We met some pretty nice people who were also a part of the alternative living lifestyle. We had a hard time situating ourselves in the van we hadn't figured it out. In all it was a nice time, we plan on going back and actually spending the entire 14 days. For future reference and anyone reading, the name of the lake is Lake Limestone in Groesbeck, Tx, there is a 14 day max stay, it was quiet and peaceful. The police came by to do a routine check up, we got a chance to test our solar lighting and set up another way so that all of us could fit comfortably.
We purchased this dutch oven from Walmart overall it was a good buy, we cooked some good meals with it and plan on cooking more! Now we could google dutch oven meals over an open fire! For some reason I can't seem to wait on that!

These little fire starters did the trick! We make sure we have everything else and we can have a really good meal for a nice price any where that we can pull out the pit and light a fire. We have recently updated our van actually today! We returned to Houston for a birthday party and ended up getting a room so that we could organize our tiny space, and it worked! We got it to where all of us can sleep comfortably in the back of the van. My oldest was sleeping up front and he ended up breaking the cup holders, so we decided that wasn't gonna work. I believe we finally got it the way it will probably stay for a while at least. I will post pics on tomorrow! Thanks for reading!! Below are the links to some of the things we purchased. It is our affiliate link, so we will get a small percentage, thanks for purchasing!

Finding employment in Houston............

It seems to be the hardest thing to do these days.....  with unemployment rates rising and companies  continuously laying off employees, people are becoming discouraged. The workforce is crowded, it's like future employees are fighting for jobs. Well with that said, I took the liberty to help find ways to make money and tips on how to find the right job for you. First off, we will look at some of the things that can possibly stop you from finding a good job, we will start with appearance. Overall appearance plays a big role in job-hunting, employers want to see their future employee in business professional attire, not in everyday street wear. When attending an interview men should be sure to be clean shaven, hair should be groomed, clothes should be cleaned, ironed, shirts tucked in, and belts if pants have loops. There should be no jewelry, unless it's a weddi...
I have decided to begin a new journey....smoothies!!! I finally hopped on the scale today and honestly I was unhappy with that number... very unhappy!  So I decided to do something about it!  I have decided to drink smoothies!  I mean all the time for every meal.  I have to cut back on everything and live a better healthier life, not for me but for those 2 beautiful boys. My fiance says, I'm awesome, and I know this, but I think it is time for me to live healthier..... no more eating crappy foods, processed junk and all that other I-taste-so-good-but-will-clog-your-arteries junk gotta go!!  Join me on my journey!!  I know it will be hard so I am gonna use a whole lot of prayer and my groovy blog as a way to keep me motivated to continue.  I am not gonna give myself I time frame to lose weight I am just gonna do it.  It is something I have to do!

~Au Naturale~

I finally decided that I'm going natural!!!!!! I havent had a perm in... I can't even remenber!!! I started out with nothing, nothing at all my hair was damn near faded, if you know what I mean. My hair use to be what it was about, I wore the weaves, wigs, and all that other stuff and I loved it, now who really cares!!!! I love my hair, so I decided not to put all those chemicals in it again. Of course I might dye it occasionally, but that's about it. I'm growing it out now, since I am planning on going dready by next week....thats right people I said it. I've made up my mind and I've done the research and decided it's what I want, so why not!!! this is a recent pic pay attention to the hair only!!!! These r the many hair battles of onyx!!!! _ <-------this is my real hair <----weave So as you can see people I've had it all and now the real....... ~Au Naturale~ God Bless!!! ~Onyx~
